Knitatude

Knitting with Attitude

Our Story

Knitatude was born in January of 2012 out of a love of learning how to knit but never came into fruition until April 2013.  It started with the search of that ever eluding infinity scarf, to the picking up a set of needles, a hell of a lot of swearing. Fast forward to 2016 and that’s when designing patterns came into the forefront of Knitatude (Knitting with attitude). What began as a hobby has now become what you see here today: Beautiful beginner friendly patterns that actually fit, and a sassy chick with ever changing hair.

Designs with YOU (the maker) in Mind

Knitatude is all about knitwear design that is meant for the “advance beginner” knitter. If you know how to knit and purl both flat and in the round, have knit a scarf and a hat and want to dive into making your first garment… you found the right place. I promise you can make one of my sweater patterns. Each pattern is based on simple easy to get construction and modern clean lines, written for the beginner knitters who wants to explore and expand their knitting skills.

Don’t be afraid to try out a new pattern! Each one is equipped to help you along the way, and hold your hand in the hard parts with those added details that will set your mind at ease.

Chantal is the potty-mouth, purple-haired, self taught knitter from Calgary Alberta, Canada. Born in the frigid - 30 degree weather, "being warm" has never been a thing for this lady. You can usually find her wearing the largest oversized knit sweater she can find with fleece lined tights, cozy slippers and a chai latte in hand. If she’s not knitting, she’s probably scrolling and giggling on instagram, snuggling her two weenie dogs (Kurt Russel and Spinelli), eating food her handsome hubbie Todd made, or curled up reading a smutty romance novel.
